Two paintings together formed a diptych inspired by Mark Rothko. The colours are translucent and show some sings of the underpaying paint.The combination of the colours yellow ochre, black and Napels yellow works really well for me.

Inspired by Mark Rothko I made a composition using Napels yellow dark and Yellow Ochre acrylic paint. It took several layers of paint to come to this stage. I find it always difficult to tell when a painting is finished, but not this time.
I think it made a powerful and bright painting.

Inspired by the beach I used acrylic Napels yellow red en dark to get the feeling of summer.
The colours are not as bright as I normally work with, same goes for the larger canvas, but it made an nice and interesting painting.
Instead of covering the painting in white and drawing my buildings I decided to leave it uncovered and to ad just a few lines with white, red and black markers.

Experiment with Napels yellow red and Napels yellow dark. I like the combination of the two aligning colours. With some bright colours it made a calm painting. Again I doubted to cover the painting with a white finish and make my buidings, but I decided against it
