Make you feel my rain 40H x 40W x 4D cm Acrylic on canvas € 525
In the rain series several layers of paint covered in white. The underlaying colours, thickly painted, shimmer through. I like the transparent look and the the white background gives me hope and pleasure.

Shut up and save the planet again 80H x 80H x 4D cm Acrylic on canvas € 995
Part one of a diptych .
Seeing the destruction of the rainforest in Brazil and the actions of the president deeply upset me. The earth is littered and losing its colour. Even my rain can’t fix this.
Several layers of acrylic paint shimmer through the rain.

You oughta be brown 120H x 160W x 2D cm Acrylic on canvas SOLD
For the parents of a friend I made this large piece. They requested something not to colourful to hang on their 8 meters high wall. Quite a challenge. I started with Mark Rothko in mind, but after some time I found myself making rain again. Something I couldn’t resist. Various different shades of brown stil made an colourful painting.
Ain’t no sunshine 80H x 120W x 4D cm Acrylic on canvas € 1495
I wanted to celebrate summer. I used many layers of yellow, purple and ochre on a white basis. The rain worked as a mantra for me, especially in bright colours.
How you’re gone see me now 50H x 50W x 4D cm Acrylic on canvas € 675
You can’t see through the rain 60H x 90W x 4D cm Acrylic on canvas SOLD
This painting I made for a friend who wanted a piece for her balcony. She lives at Curaçao and wants to hang it on her balcony. So I started with canvas stretched on an aluminium frame, instead of a wooden frame.
She is active in politics so I included the logo of PvdA and the Erasmus tower of Rotterdam. Unfortunately I used to much paint so the images are no longer visible.
I used bright colours and it took some time find a nice balance.
Once a pink Dahlia 50H x 50W x 4D cm Acrylic on canvas € 675
Blue, paint it blue 80H x 100W x 4D cm Acrylic on canvas € 1195
I started off with the outlines of a nude, but quite soon I was making rain again.
In al the colours blue I could find.
The nude is almost invisible.
Ainda há tempo 120H x 150W x 4D cm Acrylic on canvas € 1850
Inspired by the Covid epidemic in Manaus another painting in the series “Rain”. The disturbing images deeply upset me.
I started with the layout of Brazil in Phthalo green and the background red. From a distance the contours are still visible under the rain like the country is swallowed by the sea.
Raindrops 50W x 70H x 4D cm Acrylic on canvas € 825
Wrapped in yellow, red and orange 150W x 100H x 4D cm Acrylic on canvas € 1750
A display of my favourite colours, the light purple and the orange give the painting a bright shining.
No picture behind the stripes, but there’s still a lot to imagine.
Choosing the title is always a nice job. Often I choose a title related to a song in combination with a colour. This time I had no imagination and just went for “wrapped in yellow, red and orange” a title well suited anyway.
See the sky about to rain 80H x 100W x 2D cm Acrylic on canvas € 1250
“See the sky about to rain nr2” 80H x 100W x 2D cm Acrylic on canvas € 1250
‘Colourful rain’ 150W x 120H x 4,5D cm Acrylic on canvas SOLD
Working on a large canvas for the second time. Quite difficult where to begin and when to stop. I could have added many more stripes, but I thought it was enough.
Like my precious paintings I find peace in repeating and drawing with colour.
This time without a white wash or only three colours. I felt the urge to use all the colours of my palette.
